CS:GO Skins vs CS2 Skins: What is the Difference?

The entire Counter-Strike community is in an amazing position right now. Everyone is looking forward to a major CS:GO update and a name change to Counter-Strike 2. Many users thought that skins csgo will cease to exist, but the creators of the game reassured fans and confirmed that all skins will move to the new version.

However, there will be some changes. Among other things, the developers paid special attention to skins. Naturally, we will not see new skins under the old name, but the skins will be seriously improved. On the example of several of them, we will verify this.

SSG 08 | Blood in the Water

Blood in the Water is one of the most expensive skins of this sniper rifle. On it, grayish-white paint has been applied to the surface of the receiver and forearm as a background. The surface of the receiver depicts a shark head with an open mouth in readiness. At the other end of the background is an image of blood spreading in water, along with some details painted black, and others without any paint at all.

Now about paint wear. This skin has only three exteriors:

from $59 for Factory New;
from $39 for Minimal Wear;
from $44 for Field-Tested.

In the final exterior, the surface of the buttstock is painted black, and not in the original color due to the appearance of new small scuffs and scratches. In general, the shark and blood spatter can be more clearly recognized in the new version. Also, the shark’s teeth are carefully detailed, whereas previously they merged with the background.

Galil AR | Orange DDPAT

The Orange DDPAT skin has an average price among the skins of this automatic rifle, and also has the StatTrak™ function. The surface of the entire automatic rifle is painted dark gray as a background. Orange and gray colors are on the surface of the background, imitating digital camouflage. Only gray paint has been applied to the surface of the forearm.

Now, about paint wear. The grayness of the skin helps to hide scratches and scuffs, and even in the Well-Worn exterior it is very difficult to tell where the paint is and where the scuffs are. This skin starts at $12.

XM1014 | Blaze Orange

The handle, butt plate, front sight and magazine holder are painted brown. A black color is applied to the butt pad. All other parts of the shotgun are painted orange as a background. An image in the form of branches and gray oak leaves is on the background surface.

If we talk about paint wear, then almost all the paint disappears. Only fragments of paint remain on the receiver. But even despite this, the skin is very bright, and in the new version, the lines on the orange background have been improved, which goes well with gray and black.

The release day of CS2 clearly initiates a price spike in the skins market. Therefore, in order not to be left without anything when CS2 comes out, you first need to update your inventory on DMarket. This is a reliable platform with which you can trade skins and earn real money at the same time. The platform makes it possible to withdraw money to the user’s personal account, which is why it has gained a reputation as a reliable and trusted site.
