The Napa Wine Project is
researched and maintained by David Thompson. He has been
a wine enthusiast for many years and in 2006 created
this project. He has personally visited each physical
winery (if applicable), met with a representative &
tasted from 650+ commercial Napa wine producers reviewed
on this site - including a number of other locations that offer tasting
experiences but do not make their own wine. He is responsible for all research, winery visits
& revisits,
winery reviews, tasting notes, photography and updates.
California raised, he attended college on California's
Central Coast & while there, co-founded a collegiate
Solar Racing Team which designed and built a solar car
from scratch. Dave is founder and editor of a popular international travel site (since 1996),
Dave's Travel Corner and affiliated travel blog,
Above the Clouds. |
He runs a website promoting Olympic Gold Medalist and currently
undefeated WBA World Super Middleweight champion Boxer,
Andre Ward, is involved with
MyVideoVisa,
an online travel video sharing site,
VinoVisit (a winery reservation company) and
Napa365 - an online retailer selling premium Napa
wines based in mainland China.
A wine writer should definitely get his hands dirty and
Dave works part time at
Tedeschi Family Winery in Calistoga. His first book titled, "The
Freeways of Los Angeles" was
published in 2010. We also offer customized private wine

industry is fluid like its wine and things do
