Hi, discovered my uncle Ward Eisan was a caretaker of the Snowden winery in the 50s & sixties, I went to the winery with my Dad to visit uncle Ward and also my mom. I am now in my 70s and would like to visit the old winery site. I understand Ward had a 1 acre site dedicated to him for discovery of wine. I would appreciate any information and any possibility to visit this site. Thank you , Victor Millhouse.

I’ll be sharing with my buddies your 1985 (yes, 1985) Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon. I just taste tested it and it’s remarkable. Absolutely no evidence of maderization. Acid/tannins/alcohol all balanced. Still some fruit present although the “grassiness” is only a shadow its original self. I can send you a photo of the bottle if you give me an email address or number to text.

Just a correction on the info about Litto Damonte, mentioned in the article for his connection to Lee Eakle in building the Valley Market. Litto was from Italy, not Spain.
