Well, I just realized that Conn practically only does Cab… so I don’t think I’ll find a substitute there… so you know of any other brand that “took over” the wines?

I live in Denmark and have enjoyed VME’s Grande Reserva Antique Vines zinfandel and Russian River pinot noir.
I have one bottle 2006 zinfandel and one bottle 2009 pinot noir left. I have searched for more for a long time with no luck…
As I understand the winery has been shut down and is no longer a brand at St. Michelle…
Do you know if there are any Conn Creek wines that substitute VME’s wines?
I would be grateful for any info.

In reply to Mike Mc Grath. This morning, looking for a water leak, I found a case of 1983 VME under my house- not bad cellar conditions. Did you make this wine? I wish the corks had been higher quality but the 2nd bottle I opened is wonderful. Happy Father's Day to me!

In reply to Mike Mc Grath. Absolutely! We are down to our last hoarded bottle; well, bottle-and-a-half, since we try to stretch it out over a day or so, only on special occasions. Bring it back. As this plethora of postings shows, there's an eager market. We get out to CA intermittently and would be overjoyed to buy it and ship it.
