In reply to Kevin. Hello Kevin. Venge Vineyards is owned by the founder, Kirk Venge and the Scout's Honor Zinfandel is still made at the winery in Calistoga. Your comment is from a few years ago but luckily anniversaries are every year! Please come walk down memory lane with us.

I tried Scouts Honor and was really impressed. Also am impressed that my son Rodney Brown is a employee there at Venge. He loves it also.

Kevin – Venge Vineyards is doing well and still family owned. Your mention of the sale is probably referring to when the Venge’s sold the old Rossini Winery and property in 2008 to William Foley – they acquired their current Calistoga property that same year and moved locations 🙂

Its a beautiful property – make an appointment to visit and sit out on the deck overlooking the vineyards enjoying a Scouts Honor. And in honor of all dogs especially Kingston, the 12 year old Akita who survived for 101 days by hunting skunks after being lost in the Paradise fire of 2018 well to the north of the Napa Valley. Maybe Kirk or Sarah will be around to say hi to 🙂

I’m NOT a wine person, but few years ago I encountered Scouts Honor and that has become MY WINE if I’m having wine. I mean NO DISRESPECT, but I thought I read somewhere that Venge was sold ? My wife and I are going up to the Napa area(perhaps Lodi?) to stay for a few days to renew our vows for our anniversary and I wanted to have a glass and walk your area for a memory as I found it interesting about the story of how that great wine came to be. Is Scouts Honor made in Calistoga or where now if the winery/ownership has changed?
