I just opened a bottle of 2005 Diamond Mountain cab. At first it still seemed tight, but now that it has some air it is opening up. It still has an underlying slightly off aroma on the palate but it is a heavy duty cab and drinkable. I've waited a long time for this wine to do something and it was pushed out of my wine cabinet for other wines that I had more faith in. I live east of S.F., so the weather isn't kind to wine that isn' t cooled, but this wine is holding it together. I still have about five other bottles of Marco wine from 2005 so I'll see how those are doing soon. If nothing else to give them one last harah to clear them away.

I really don't have a good tasting palate, I either like it or I don't. To give credit every sip as I write this one finger at a time, it is tasting better than the last. No I'm not drunk...yet.
