Sandra - greetings from Saudi Arabia at the moment, where there is definitely no wine or alcohol anywhere! Just landed from Iraq where one can find alcohol in certain parts of the country. Hope you get chance to visit the Faust House during your next trip to the world-famous Napa Valley :)

I stumbled across this wine while making reservations at Davio’s Restaurant, the name caught my attention as it bears the same name as my last name! I must try this wine selection when I visit the restaurant. I must also visit your winery as well one summer. Just thought it interesting to see my namesake on a wine list! I look forward to visiting The Faust Haus!!!

Mathew J Oharen, I get it. So sad. Thomas Faragher such a polite yet misguided reply. I cannot spend a dime on any of the Huneeus wines after the embarrassing lack of judgment shown by Agustin Huneeus Jr.
If you too are confused, you missed the college entrance privileged buy-in that stained this family and sent Agustin to prison.

Greetings from the Guadalcanal - no Faust wine here, but I am highly anticipating when the Faust tasting room and hospitality center opens - looking forward to visiting - loads of history on this property : ) - then will have visited & reviewed all the Huneus owned properties, Quintessa, Benton-Lane & Flowers...for now! Maybe Illumination and Leviathan will have their own separate physical homes someday.

Wow, Matthew--WHAT???? bitterness in Faust wines? Really? I lived in Napa Valley for 20 years. I love all styles of Napa cab, and I have never detected bitterness in a fine one. Maybe you like some sweetness in your wine? Well that may be OK for you, and that is perfectly OK. you should drink what fits your palate. But for the majority of those who love fine Cabernets, they are always dry . Tonight we had a Faust Napa Valley 2016 cabernet , which my 7 guests and I enjoyed as a truly wonderful example of a fruit-forward Napa cab, dominated by a nice mix of dark fruits; an excellent Cali Cab rated highly by the most prominent critics. No sweetness, just great dark fruit with good complexity and reasonably soft tannins. Our group was all long-time wine people and we all loved it. Worth its price for sure, if low acidity and a little sweetness is what you like. You like what you like, but to most fine wine drinkers, acid is a necessity to properly balance a fine dry wine. You can stay with your preference (and you will benefit from the fact that most cabernets with some sweetness sell for much less money than fine wines like Faust cab), but do not think that your preferred style is everyone's preferred style. You do not have to like what the critics or anyone else likes. Be happy and stay with Folie a Deux (a well priced red with low acidity and some sweetness), etc and enjoy....,.quietly. Everyone has his/her own style preference.

I have gradually detected a certain bitterness in the Faust blends, as if the stain of the vintners cheating and lying has leaked into the bottles. I look at m children, I look at the bottle, and I now find it undrinkable, acidic to the point of being acid.

In reply to <a href="https://www.napawineproject.com/faust-wines/#comment-1666">Marissa</a>.

Huneeus Vintners is a family owned and run company for two generations, and no stockholders, with over 500 family owned acres under vine in Napa.

Faustini wines is a Jersey shore poser with a winemaking hobby, zero acres under vine and a three-stars-on-yelp tasting room in New Jersey, who pays Laird Estates to make their wine.

Huneeus Vintners is one of the most genuine Napa family owned businesses in the industry.

Faustini is a faker and liar with zero understanding of trademark law.

The real question is why is a fraud like Faustini harassing the Huneeus family with Trumpian projections?
Could they be worried about losing their New Jersey country club membership or is it a vector for money laundering?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Faust is owned by their parent company Huneeus Vinters. They are multi-million dollar organization and they pick in small family wineries in Napa and Elsewhere. Don’t buy their products. The small niche wines that make Napa and CA special will suffer and so will you, the consumer, by having all the wine owned by a small few mass market, big box organizations! #freefaustini
