Introduction

I have an extremely unique point of view into the Napa Valley from a winery perspective as I have personally visited and tasted with more than 600 commercial wine producers (wineries) in Napa over the past nearly 5 years. As a result I have a plethora of resources to draw from in regards to customizing any tour to the Napa Valley. I know the Napa Valley inside and out, numerous wine makers and types of tasting experiences. I enjoy guiding and providing information about this incredible place. Have your own list of wineries? I would be happy to give you comments.

Based on my research, all my winery reviews are online (with photos) - Visit:

Comments
The following comments are either about the Napa Wine Project or from clients:

"I cannot begin to tell you what a great time we had in wine country. It was such a pleasure to go to all these out of the way, private, smaller wineries. The tastings were more intimate and on such a much more personal level than with the bigger vintners. On the morning tour with George Hendry, I learned more about wine in a few hours than I did from the hours of reading I put in on the subject.

The few days we spent with you in wine country was overwhelmingly the highlight of our California trip. While we sit back during the rest of the coming year, enjoying with friends all the wine we purchased. Every bottle we open will end up in a conversation of how we managed to find all this wonderful wine. Thanks for the memories

"I'm so impressed by the task you are undertaking to do in sharing a comprehensive access to all the many wineries we are lucky to have here in the Valley. I'm amazed how many there are!! It's an incredible testament to this amazing way of life. Thank you for the style and openness in which you're approaching it - yours is a significant contribution in communicating the bounty of this valley."

Tours

My tours are customizable and flexible based on your interest. Options besides wine tasting include sightseeing (Old Faithful Geyser, Petrified Forest, diRosa Art Preserve etc) hiking near Mt. St. Helena. We can also tour through some of Napa's towns including Calistoga, and St. Helena.

All tours are private for your party. Any and all levels of wine education are perfectly fine :) Depending on the tour, I will make any reservations for appointment only wineries. I know many small family owned boutique producers and we can certainly visit some of my favorites.

A typical tour will last between 6-8 hours; the day is yours - tours can be shortened or increased as needed. A 2010 Subaru Outback is used for parties of 4 or less. A larger van is used for bigger groups.

We can setup special tours based on any number of criteria (some listed below). We will visit only our favorites out of the hundreds we have tasted and reviewed in Napa. Want the wineries with the best tours, romance or views; I know these specific wineries and can make the appointments. Advance notice of at least a week is desirable for an appointment only winery tour.
